In the middle of a summer day, within the cement depths of Brooklyn, when NYC was hitting the 90’s and registering one hundred percent humidity, we left the concrete for the water and took the A train southbound to the ever popular Rockaway beach. Our mission was to sample and test our summer gear that has recently arrived under the peak of summer conditions. The gear, an essential mix for summer living in New York City, consists of a large tote bag, floating mesh hats and a line up of printed t-shirts in different colors. The summer collection is a perfect blend of comfort, function and style to suit the needs of someone wanting to use and wear something designed for both the city and the beach. We have tested the lineup in various conditions from commuting to surfing to cycling.
The beach tote bag is made of heavyweight natural canvas, it can be carried by hand, and over the shoulder or as a cross body. The waxed canvas bottom is water-resistant and an inside zipped pocket will keep your belongings safe.
The hat is built with a mesh crown, reflective tape to be seen at night and a neoprene visor that floats for the purpose of water activities including surfing and swimming. The construction makes these hats highly breathable and comfortable during a heat wave.
T-shirts are made of a triblend (50% Polyester, 25% Cotton, 25% Rayon) that is soft to the touch, cool and comfortable. Our Nordet logo is featured on the back and printed with reflective ink to be seen during any activity at night like a bike ride.
